The Alley Fest
The Alley Fest

It's one of the most exciting and fun festivals in the Texas Lake Country and it knowns how to kick off Summer in style.

Alley Art features the best artisans and crafters that can be found. Each year produces new surprises with artists that produce quality work.

Music Fest on Friday and Saturday night entertain crowds with 2 or 3 acts each night. Acclaimed groups headline each night with music of all kinds.

Kids Fest on Saturday and Sunday is packed with activities, performances and exhibits, many educational and all fun.

Alley Run on Saturday is a 1 mile, 5k and 10k loop course. A long time popular and challenging run.

Food Fest features the best of Longview's restaurants.

The Blue Shoe Project

Blues has made a profound impact on evolution of American Music and our society and all students should experience the lessons blues have to offer. The blues is a historical record of life's journey. The Legends of the Blues and those influenced by it are aging or passing and with it their rich history and culture.

Founded in 2004 with the mission to expose America's youth to the profound impact that The Blues has made on the world. The Blue Shoe Project has presented programs to over 27,000 youth to date through workshop, assembly and concert event programs.

The Texas Music Project

The Texas Music Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit working in conjunction with the Texas music industry and the State of Texas, the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Commission on the Arts, and the Texas Coalition for Quality Arts Education.

The primary mission of TMP is to help strengthen and restore music education to Texas schools. Our objectives are to raise awareness of the benefits of music education and the related needs of schools; build capacity and funding for music education in local communities and schools; and enable more informed decision-making among decision makers at both the state and local levels.
